kids are meant for diverting attention
kids are cute-est when they are small
or maybe they are cute because they are small.
i always think that kids shldnt grow up ><>

anwyway here are my 2 nephews. yup i am their AUNT (:
oh wait. being an AUNTY isnt someth to be happy about...
maybe except when u have nephews who are SO cute. haha

dont get me wrong. i am not the like-kids-alot kind of person. neither am i intending to be a mother.
i hate dislike squirmish whining brawling jumping scrambling kids.

but despite that, i still enjoy having them around...
cos i realise there are some benefits....like getting free (but nice) food samples (:(:

during the christmas-y period, marks and spencer at vivocity was having promotion for some of their wonderfully delicious food products. (M&S cookies are super nice. i read abt their new apple pie dessert flavoured cookies and i cant wait to try it!)

so anyway there was this small round table at the entrance with chocolate cookies, crumbly biscuits, potato chips and something else piled nicely and looking really enticing but somehow lacking the attention it should deserve.

...i feel too paiseh to approach the table and shamelessly try all the food stuff without the intention of buying any but yet the food looked too good to resist.

so i came up with a brilliant idea.

since i was with a total of FOUR kids (2 nephews and 2 cousins aged 11 and 12), who obviously shld be forgiven for their innate attraction to sweet stuff...

i directed their attention towards the table and was like "go go go! go eat! very nice de!"

and so suddenly there were like 4 people rushing towards and clamouring around the pathetically small table, and the salesgirl who had been stoning looked shocked and overwhelmed...

and because my nephews are almost the same height as the table, they ran right into the table and almost toppled everything...

and in the midst of all the mess and chaos, i managed to eat a satisfactory amt of food samples...

and pile some onto the outstretch hands of my nephews (since their height only allows them to see but not reach for the food)

not bad right? (: kids are best used to divert attention (:

before you say i m a horrible and terrible person, i actually did buy stuff frm M&S that day.

while shopping, i realised clement (the one with the specs) loves the camera.
Look at the following sequence of events:
1. clement realises that i was taking photos of him

2. asks his brother to pose for the camera

3. poses for the camera

the best way to keep bored kids entertained?

the iPhone! (:
